Christmas through the 90’s and early 2000’s

Before social media, before online shopping, and before Christmas decorating became a year-round hobby, there were the Christmases of my childhood.

This collection is filled with ornaments, decorations, and keepsakes that capture the magic of the 1990s and early 2000s. They remind me of family traditions, Christmas morning excitement, holiday TV specials, trips to see Santa, and the decorations that made Christmas feel larger than life.

More than any other collection, these pieces take me back to where my love of Christmas began.

These decorations have already been part of countless Christmas celebrations, and I'm proud to help preserve them for future generations.

I remember piling into the car with my mom and brother as a little boy and heading to Macy's in search of a Rockin' Santa. Back in the '90s, these were incredibly popular and surprisingly hard to find—long before online shopping made everything just a click away.

A few years ago, my mom found a mint-condition Rockin' Santa on eBay and surprised me with it for Christmas so I could finally have one of my own. She still has our original, and amazingly, it still sings, dances, and brings back the same excitement I felt as a child. Even now, I can't help but stop, watch, and smile every time it starts playing.

A little bit of tinsel, a stack of toy catalogs, and the excitement of Christmas morning.

This snowman is one of the oldest ornaments in my Christmas collection. He's been part of my Christmases since I was a little boy. Amazingly, he still plays music when you press his belly! He may be a little worn and a little dirty, but after nearly 40 Christmases, he's a reminder that the most treasured decorations aren't always the newest—they're the ones filled with memories.
