Gifts for the Ornament Collector

For an ornament collector, the Christmas tree is more than part of the holiday décor—it’s a collection of memories, stories, traditions and little works of art gathered one ornament at a time.

There’s something special about opening those boxes each Christmas and rediscovering old favorites. Maybe it’s an ornament that has been in the family for generations, one brought home from a memorable trip, a piece that marks an important moment, or simply an ornament that was far too beautiful to leave behind. Every year brings the opportunity to add another treasure to the collection—and somehow, there’s always room for one more.

As an ornament collector myself, this is one of my favorite parts of the Static & Tinsel Gift Guide. I’ve gathered pieces and finds for everyone from the casual collector to the person whose collection may require more Christmas trees than they’d care to admit. You’ll find beautiful glass ornaments, nostalgic designs, unique collectibles, handcrafted pieces, ornament-related accessories and a few unexpected finds for those of us who appreciate the artistry and tradition behind Christmas ornaments.

And remember, the perfect ornament doesn’t necessarily have to be the most expensive or elaborate one. Some of the most meaningful pieces in our collections are the ones that remind us of a person, a place, a favorite tradition or a particular Christmas in our lives.

Whether you're searching for the perfect gift for an ornament collector or looking for the next addition to your own collection, I hope you'll find something here worthy of a special place on the tree.

And, of course, keep an eye out for the Tinsel Approved seal. Those are the pieces and finds that have earned a little extra Static & Tinsel sparkle.

After all, we don't just decorate our trees. We tell our stories on them.
